Fanfiction:

Non Sufficit by sloanesomething: when did I start reading James Bond fanfic? Craig, D., and Dench, J, I blame you. Anyway, this one is Bond getting increasingly more screwed up in the aftermath of Casino Royale, meeting Alec Trevalyan (aka Sean Bean's character from the one Brosnan Bond I actually watched) and having generally great tense interaction with M. (And I still want to read crossover fanfic with Spooks wherein M crosses swords with Harry. Come on!)


Vids:

Supreme by gentilhomme: the Torchwood ensemble and their messed up emotional lives. I do adore vids who manage to match the lyrics to the images; what stood out for me here were some of the Jack section, which made me smile, and the Gwen/Rhys section, which... yeah. What the verse said. Also, excellent use of Owen, who among tough competition by his teammates qualifies as the most screwed up of 'em all...

My Alien by fahrbotdrusilla: on a light-hearted note, this is Ten 'n Donna during Runaway Bride. It reminded me that whoever said that Donna, in one single episode, had the perfect Companion arc - "meet the Doctor, have an adventure, help him as he helps you, get out of there and have your own life" - was right.


Lastly: Neil Gaiman writes in his blog that Ian McKellan is going to do the narration of Stardust (film version). I'll see your squee and raise it to a woo hoo.

Thanks very much! At the risk of sounding conceited, I was very pleased with the way it turned out, especially considering it was the first vid over a minute and a half that I've ever made. I heard the song a day or two before the finale and it just stuck.
