I was hoping for Doakes/Deb after s1, too, but as you say, that boat has sailed. Don't die anyway, Doakes. Pull it off somehow.

I so hope LaGuerta will find evidence independent from herself that exonorates Doakes, because whether he dies or not, I don't want him to be blamed for Dexter's crimes, and I do want La Guerta to show, as she did with Neil Perry in s1, that she has mad cop skills if challenged.
