On a lighter note: I had read futuresoon's House crossover before having watched any episodes of the show and so thought House's immediate suspicions were because this was a Heroes crossover, but now that I'm two seasons and seven episodes into the show, I realize this is pure canon. Like I said, he has at least one case per season, and it seems to be his default assumption, which is why I wonder how much fanfic Shore has read.
