*g* So, watching The Pasdar playing an evil morally ambiguous sociopath is okay
Dude, it took me ages to dare to watch Profit, and for much the same reason. Though I did end up loving it and it's creepy sociopath title character. But Profit is odd in that he's threatening towards people you don't really like anyway, so you kind of in a warped way end up cheering for him.
none too many years later saw in The English Patient, where it's absolutely crucial you sympathize with his character.
See, while the nazi residue didn't affect me (I remember very little of Schindler's List, truth be told), I didn't care much for either Ralph Fiennes or Kristin Scott Thomas in The English Patient. It was all about the second storyline for me. Binoche/Dafoe/Andrews FTW! :-)
