Adieu Bali

Our last day in Bali is over, and tomorrow it's an early start for the marathon flight back, so, in case my plane crashes:

1) [livejournal.com profile] bimo, the tickets for the Tennant/Stewart Shakespeare are on my desk in my apartment. My aunt Inge has the keyes. Feel free to take [livejournal.com profile] cavendish or [livejournal.com profile] kathyh.

2) Multiverse recipient, I hope you like your story once the archive goes up. Whoever wrote the one for me, I'm sure I would have liked yours.

3) Just because I'm a Locke and Ben fan doesn't mean I don't want to rescued. Feel free to start expeditions. As I sadly do not have a rich ex with a sinister parent to finance them, I trust to fellow fannish charity. You want more reviews and fanfic... don't you?

... and, failing that, tickets to, you know, Shakespeare. And Bayreuth.

*mulls French Special Forces rescue*

But would you really want to get rescued right away? Think about it, you would not only have Ben and Locke for your company but also ... Sayid! Or [insert other Lost male of your fancy who is not Ben or Locke here. Of course it can also be Ben or Locke, but that would make this comment rather obsolete, so...]

Of course I'd be nonetheless willing to rescue you if you promise to bring back a polar bear.

In other news, I have a riddle for you. Who is this and what is this poor person reading:

[thinking] Hmmm, it's 1 a.m., I should go to bed if I want to get anything done tomorrow before work... I'll just read one more chapter, they are not that long and there are pictures after all...

[a while later] oh, the chapter is over and the next one looks really interesting, maybe I should just take a quick peek...

[yet again a while later] What do you mean, "work" and "half past three in the morning"? I'm not finished yet!!

Hint: we did talk about this fairly recently.

It's a mark of my devotion to you that I'm still going to wish you a safe journey *g*. Hope the flight isn't too tiring, you have no irritating delays and plenty of good things to watch on the plane.

Sayid is a death warrant to a girl, thanks ever so much. And both Locke and Ben are to be admired from afar. (I.e. on the tv screen.) As most people I'm fond of in fiction, actually, whether or not they're good guys or bad guys or in between. *g* No polar bear for you.

But hooray for you reading Watchmen!

All was the case, though I'm still pretty dizzy this morning. 24 hour travelling does that to a girl...

Trust you to think practical. Though I'm happy to report the French Special Forces won't be needed. I'm back!

Arrived in the other hemisphere safely, though quite worn out by the sheer length...

I know the feeling. Our journey back from New Zealand still lives in my nightmares even though it was broken down into manageable segments.

Drink plenty of liquid for the dizziness, because no matter how much you think you've drunk on the plane it's never enough.

P.S. Welcome home!
