..and an obscure remark: I figured out whom Matt Smith reminds me of, looks-wise - Chris from Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes.

Two short but adorable Doctor Who stories:

Dreams Lost: in which Jackson Lake and the Doctor talk about dreams, loss, and hope. Did I mention I'm a sucker for Jackson 'n Ten interaction? *is happy*

Searching: in which everyone's favourite grandfather, Wilf Mott, meets Evelyn Smythe, historian and the (Sixth's) Doctor's companion. This got their voices just perfectly, and if you don't know Evelyn from the audios, never fear, her character comes across clearly.

See my first thought was... "Hmm, something about that bone structure reminds me of Frankenstein" and as a result can't really see where the "Pretty Boy Doctor" stuff is coming from. :)

Hm, can't see any Boris Karloff resemblance, but yes, I don't know where the "Pretty Boy" designation comes from, either. I mean, it's an interesting face. Neither bland nor handsome. Quirky, I'd say, and definitely somewhat odd. Whether or not he can act with it I have no idea, not having seen him in any role, but he's anything but pretty.

Just something about how very square his head is I think. And the thing he did on the interview when he tilts his head so that his eyes are shadowed. I think I noticed particularly because his very square head really contrasted to Tennant's, which is sort of... round, or heart shaped. And thus i was confuzzled by the whole, he is Tennant .5 thing.

But I think he could certainly use his interesting face in interesting ways for the Doctor. We shall just have to wait and see.
