One sentence meme: Babylon 5
Jan. 10th, 2009 03:41 pmOr, the result of having a massive writers' block with something else and trying to break through. The meme is stolen from
harmonyangel and slightly modified. (I can't do word limits.)
Try to write different categories of fic (angst, fluff, UST, etc) in one sentence.
I decided to do this for an old fandom of mine, Babylon 5. Trusty readers of this journal will guess what this means: lots of Centauri and G'Kar. (You mean there are non-telepathic human characters in B5? Really?)
Spoilers: definite ones only up to the third season, though some of these take place later.
Disclaimer: Characters and situations owned by JMS and Warner Brothers.
Rating: Err, PG-13 for implications of interspecies sex?
Angst
Betraying Londo to Turhan would have prevented the war; Vir remained silent.
AU
The Great Machine on Epsilon III made its choice: Londo agrees.
Crackfic
”We did get married in that Minbari ceremony”, Londo pointed out, “which makes you prince consort of the Centauri, G’Kar.”
Crossover
”How about just one trip?” the Doctor asks, and Vir, having been promised he’d be back for dinner, enthusiastically agrees.
Death
Mariel thought it was horrid of Londo to call her that without actually making her a widow, but then, he’d always been all foreplay and no results in their marriage.
Episode-Related (Season 3, “Dust to Dust”)
Recognizing Morden in Londo’s memories, G’Kar rages at not having been the Shadows’ choice.
First Time
Kissing him was really the only way to shut Mollari up, and even then he kept talking with his hands, all over G’Kar’s back.
Fluff
Vir isn’t sure whether cheating at cards is really a quintessential diplomatic skill, but he enjoys Londo teaching him anyway.
Humor
”Karaoke” sounded like such a nice word, Vir thinks, and listens in despair as Londo and G’Kar thunder an Earth tune named “Everything you can do, I can do better” at the Dark Star.
H/C
Waiting for John and the future to arrive, Delenn and Londo spend most of her captivity talking of the past; occasionally, they forgive each other.
Smut
There are scars all over G’Kar’s body; how like a Centauri to touch every single one of them, the Narn thinks, and pushes Londo’s mouth to one he has missed.
UST
Sinclair always feels slightly voyeuristic when presiding over their negotiations; he’d blame his imagination, but Talia looks at him in rueful sympathy while Londo and G’Kar come up with new synonyms for “no”, “yes” and “perhaps”.
