Not this again. This again?

selenakYou know the downside of new DW canon? Being reminded of everything you didn't miss about the fandom. To wit, the newest replay of:
A: OMG Moffat is perfection! Why do people critisize? Clearly they must be insane Doctor/Rose’shippers (for there can be no other reason and no other faction of objectors) who want their sexist bastard RTD back!
B: OMG hated the special! Moffat is such a sexist bastard and all candy and no substance! Why do people rave and feel moved by such drivel? Clearly it must be the insane RTD hate (for there can be no other reason and no other rason for squee)!
A: I hate it when people harsh my squee. (Except when I did just that during the previous four years of the show.)
B: I hate it when people can’t accept criticism. (Except I called it squee-harshing during the last four years of the show.)
C:… the show lost its appeal when they lost the monochrome and sold out to colour anyway. Bring back Two!
Okay, so I made up the last one, but you know what I mean. And then there was the utterly undelightful non-discovery that Gwen bashing seems to be as active in Torchwood fandom as ever, going by this post against it and the one it links. Sigh. On the bright side of things, there are also new viewers discovering Torchwood: Children of Earth and being as impressed as I was (and am).
Lastly, a fascinating take on Donna’s exist in Journey’s End which brings up points I haven’t seen before, most crucially that the Doctor-Donna WAS NOT DONNA NOBLE and was in fact killing Donna Noble. Go read.
