A spoiler free review of the first episode of TW: Miracle Day. Spoiler free, that is, except for the basic premise of Miracle Day, which has been mentioned in every trailer, interview and article so far, but if you managed to avoid all of these and don't want to know the premise until July, avoid. Otherwise, enjoy, because it's a good review (in both senses).
Doctor Who
She nudged the water, she's sure of it: River Song, the Doctor, and the TARDIS. The author pulls off a beautiful and poetic TARDIS point of view, and I loved the story. Spoilery for all broadcast episodes.
X-Men:
Shed your skin: Raven's struggle to define herself, including but by no means limited to her relationship with Charles, was among my very favourite things about this film, and this story, which tackles both, makes me extremely happy.
Purgatory: this, on the other hand, is about Erik post-film, about Raven, and Charles as the missing third. Very plausible take on Erik and Raven, their partly quite different, partly similar responses to what happened, and their interaction.
