Also mentioning Lex Luthor brings back a slight realisation that I had yesterday, which is that Tony Stark is not, as some people suggest, the Marvel version of Bruce Wayne, but the good Marvel version of Lex Luthor. Or possibly, since when Tony Stark was created Lex was a pathetic mad scientist who spent almost all his time in jail, the later "respectable tycoon" version of Lex was an evil DC version of Tony.
