I liked Skyler from the start though I was admittedly primed to like her due to fannish discussion -- or at least I sympathized with her; I'm not sure she's a person I'd choose to spend a lot of time with if I knew her, but I could understand how she got in that situation and could imagine knowing someone like her. (I probably was most annoyed at Marie initially on Skyler's behalf). And I *loved* her choice to confront Jesse thinking he was Walt's drug dealer. No real impression about Hank so far except that he's a typical TV cop, not the kind who's the hero of the show but just a stock character. So of course the show is planning to expand on and subvert that.
