Non-fantasy, contemporary show: I was thinking about including Breaking Bad, because Walter White qualifies (at the start of s2, he comes close to raping his wife but doesn't; by the start of s5, he's abandoned scruples in this regard and certainly has sex with her against her will at least once. (Probably more often, but once on camera.) The reason why I ultimately didn't include it is that while I find Walt fascinating, I don't like him, and the whole premise of the show is to watch him get worse and worse, and by and large, fandom acknowledged that in its reactions to him.
