I'm very busy and very exhausted at the book fair, haven't even had time and space to write a report of same, but here are a few links I've collected over the last week and meaning to post:

Graffiti artists hacked Homeland, so to speak. By now, you've probably heard about this already, but if you haven't, the fifth season of Homeland was shot entirely in Berlin, and three Berlin-Arab artists were hired to create graffiti supposedly decorating a refugee camp. They used the opportunity to send a message.


Gorgeous Katherine Hepburn icons from misbegotten. Oh, Kate, you're still my favourite old time movie star!


Kissinger: anything but a realist, as this article apropos several new biographies state. Having met the man himself, I can attest that he is living in his own reality. Which is pretty surreal.

The second Kissinger bio looks fascinating, a really new way to see the era (and not just because the reviewer is a friend).

I'm not sure how well it explains today, I think my US is a bit of an empire on decline, with some emotional desire to do good, but without the tools. Are there tools?

I saw that about the graffiti artists, and good for them.
