Maybe some of us couldn't go to Burbank, unlike certain individuals, but we got fanfic instead. Centauriphiles, friends, ljfolk, lend me your ear:

Of course, friendship is worth squeeing over just as much as any other 'ship. The first friendship essay over at
otf_manifesto has appeared, and it's dealing with Vila and Avon, of Blake's 7 fame. Highly recommended (both the essay and B7, with its glories of sarcastic dialogue and dark plots and not so special effects that make Dr. Who look expensive - but who cares?).
Oh, and I found out...

You are a pure Siren, and your song, or whatever

rejoice in being adored!
Perhaps you are a little lonely, because the world
misunderstands you! Not evil, not controlling,
but simply loving to be wanted and admired, you
are a vision of loveliness.
you are La Belle Dame Sans Merci by Dicksee.
