It occurs to me that it's been a good long while since I made a Firefly post. This isn't truly one, either, but I want to reccommend a wonderful, lengthy new story, "Persephone Stopover". Firefly is a fandom where I'm absolutely addicted to gen and ensembleness (as opposed to, say, Alias where I concentrate on a few characters and their relationships), and this story has that in spades, and plot, and great characterization. Something to keep one going till the MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE hits the screen.

Now I won't do that "guess my favourite character" meme, because really, I've been so vocal about mine that it would be incredibly boring for everyone save for the very newest people who friended me - *waves at new people* - but

1. If you could be someone on your friends list for a day, who would it be
and why?

andrastewhite. I've never been to Australia, so I wouldn't be above hijaking her body for sightseeing, and we share enough fandoms and historical interests for me to bluff my way through casual encounters for a day. Also? She's cool.

2. If you could pick someone on your friends list to be you for a day, who would it be and why?

artaxastra did me the honour of wanting to be me, which I'm all for. Munich is lovely right now, sunshine, spring, and all, and she could rant about Augustus for me if a RL person called. My next choice would be

honorh, because aside from all the sight seeing advantages, she'd also have access to my DVD collection. and I wouldn't have to cajole about BSG, Babylon 4 and Blake's 7 anymore because she would watch some episodes and fall for all of them.

3. Whose life would you really screw up if you had to be them for a day?

Alas, this would also be

artaxastra. I don't know anything about US law (beyond what an interested newspaper reader knows), I don't have the patience to work in an organization, and the Very Small Person would immediately notice I am not her mother by my ineptitude with children and out me as a pod woman, which would land A in jail.

4. Who would you never get away with being for a day?

hobsonphile. Not only have I no experience in her jobs but her family would smell something fishy as soon as anything slightly political was mentioned. I wouldn't even get as far as trying out my "why Bush is a disaster for the nation" rant.

5. Who would never get away with being you?

monanotlisa. She would reveal everything by looking horrified the moment someone mentions tentacle prOn. Moreover, she's a legal ace who can't rant on Augustus.
