In other news, I have to share the following correspondance between andrastewhite and myself, only relevant if you're familiar with both Alias and Harry Potter:

A: Someone needs to tell SpyDaddy to lay off the bright red ALL CAPS when he's online, though. It makes him look like an angry teenaged magician.

S: This completely cracked me up. I shall now wonder if Harry is going to turn into Jack once he grows up and Ginny turns out to have been an agent for Voldemort all along...

A: Well, there was that thing with Tom Riddle - I'd say it's entirely possible *g*. And I can so see Hermione going into the Evil Overlord business for herself, having grown cynical after years of battling Voldemort and discovering the work of some mysterious 15th century wizard ...

S: Oh yeah. Considering her ruthlessness in dealing with Umbridge and Marietta, I can so see Hermione as a female Arvin Sloane. Does that make Ron Emily?

A: That would make sense. Actually, the whole thing makes rather too much sense. Just as well I don't write Harry Potter fanfiction, really.

Is it terribly wrong of me to now want HP future fic with Harry as Jack, Hermione as Sloane and Ginny as Irina Derevko?

Snape would make a great genderswapped Irina, true, except for the Laura backstory because Harry never thought Snape was a saint on earth and the bee's knees etc, and there must be a period of adoration for the Jack in this relationship to feel properly betrayed once he discovers the truth.

Luna would so be a Rambaldi follower. Verily.
