...when Xavier and Magneto give us their take on Harry Potter

...the Alaska Legislature (including Republicans) voted overwhelmingly to not cooperate with the PATRIOT Act
(go, Alaskans!).

...I rewatch Morgaine's fabulous Blake's 7 vids (which you can find here. I especially recommend "It's a Kind of Magic" (about the series as a whole) and "It's a Sin" (Avon psychogramm).

Hmmm....

I want someone to do a study on the influence of internet fandom on pro authors. No, actually, I want to do that study. Only I'm not sure I could do the subject matter justice. I'm a) still not a fandom veteran and b)possibly not bright enough. ;-)
Also, I'm studying the wrong subject. Pre- and early history does not lend itself easily to such matters...

Influence: As you know, I'm a biased party in this particular subject, so can't comment objectively. In the case Neil Gaiman, though... well, he wrote a Babylon 5 script, a Matrix fanfic, not to mention that as a comics writer he often interpreted characters originally created by someone else, so he probably has a natural affinity. Well, ask [livejournal.com profile] rozk (he did, too).

There aren't many online, alas. But Morgaine's are really well done. Enjoy. (Now if someone would make me a decent B5 Londo vid...)

Hi, glad you like the vids! (I popped over to see where the sudden spate of hits on my B7 page was coming from!)

Regarding your later post, I too have a soft spot for Soolin - I found that she managed to 'get' to me in that last season and her relationship with Avon (i.e. her having no doubt that she was his equal) was a refreshing change. And, come that final episode, I found that I regretted her passing more than that of some of the more 'established' characters.....

Morgaine

I loved your vids...

...not just the B7 ones but the ST ones, too. And the Buffy/Faith ones.

Soolin: should have been with us longer. Sigh.
