Briefly

In haste, since I'm doing the train-travelling again (not far, just for the weekend):

1) Oscar nominations: was pleased, by and large. The fact none of the LotR actors got nominated didn't surprise me, and no, I don't think it was really due to genre prejudice - they simply cancelled each other out because they were all so good. The Academy should have invented a new category for "best ensemble", though.

2) Hutton: see rozk, altariel1 and kathyh, who as Brits are more qualified than yours truly to comment. In a nice and bitter irony, today's NY Times carries this article..

3) The Jossverse players over at theatrical_muse rock, diedalittle (Buffy), x_zeppo (Xander) and the Troika muses especially; now there is a great Lilah as well.

4) In my review of last week's Angel episode, I forgot to mention that this is another example of why the Jossverse screams to be crossover'd with the Sandman universe

5) And now it's time for my weekly whine in regards to this week's Angel episode.*g*
