One Sentence Meme: Breaking Bad
Apr. 5th, 2012 02:35 pmBack in 2009, I did this meme for Babylon 5 and also for a Marvelverse pairing of mine. Having acquires a few new fandoms since then, I decided to try it out for Breaking Bad.
Try to write different categories of fic (angst, fluff, UST, etc) in one sentence.
Spoiler: until mid season 4.
Disclaimer: Characters and situations owned by Vince Gilligan.
Rating: PG-13 for implied drug use and sex, I suppose.
Angst
Giving Marie drug money wasn't at all like Marie presenting her with stolen diadems, Skyler thought, and knew she was quite likely destroying her sister's life.
AU
By the time Jesse wonders whether it was a good idea to go all Thelma and Louise with Mr. White, they're in the middle of Colorado, and Mr. White is on a rant about the terrible grammar of the radio dj again.
Crackfick
"Jesse," Walt says in a strangled voice, "do I really have to explain why cooking what you quaintly refer to as 'sex pollen' instead of meth was a bad idea?"
Crossover (Breaking Bad/Damages)
"Ms Hewes," Saul said, "you don't want to go after Los Pollos Hermanos, trust me on this."
Death
Being fond of statistics, Gale knew all about the life expectancy of the avarage meth addict, but really, it had nothing to do with him.
Episode-Related (Season 3, “Half Measures”)
Getting poison from Jesse is something Wendy is used to, but this is the first time he wants her to use it on someone other than herself.
First Time
The girl at the gas station is easy, just like Jesse himself was; every time he persuades someone to try meth, it's a bit like reliving that first time again, the kick of all kicks and the need to throw up after.
Fluff
Jane is DC all the way while Jesse is a Marvel kind of guy, but she does agree the first two arcs of Supreme Power were way better than any canon Superman in recent years, so he thinks he does have a shot with her after all.
Humor
Hank would never admit it in a million years, but the first time he knew what he wanted to do with his life was when he watched Starsky and Hutch as a teenager on tv.
H/C
Andrea still dreams of Tomas sometimes, and that's one of the reasons she's content to wake up with Jesse; she can never look at him without knowing for certain the men who made her little brother a murderer are dead.
Smut
Hank had said some vile things to her while he was recovering, so Marie thought it was only fair he put his mouth to good use when making things up to her; the man really had a tireless tongue.
UST
Listening to Skyler White detailing the flaws in his carefully thought out money laundering scheme, Saul Goodman wanted to kill her while wondering where she had been all his life.
