Day 13 ~ Re-Write History: Something you wish had happened.

I'm still hoping that if they bring Vittoria back, she'll be revealed as female!Leonardo, having taken on a new name. Because why not? You think Leonardo couldn't have worn a fake beard in his old age? And also the thing where the Mona Lisa and his self portrait have the same mouth would be explained as well. Anyway, I just get a kick out of the idea of female!Leonardo.

The not so cracky thing I wish had happened is that Lorenzo de' Medici had lived longer because it would have been immensely interesting to see how he'd handled the Borgias. He did meet young Cesare when his son Giovanni brought him home from school vor a visit, I kid you not. Giovanni de' Medici studied like Cesare in Pisa, and of course both their fathers had bought them a bishopry already in their teenage years. Giovanni ending up as Pope Leo and Cesare as a dead warlord, you might say their career paths did then diverge. Anyway, Lorenzo died just before our show starts, so to speak, so he couldn't have been a character in it. As opposed to his son Piero The Incompetent. (Okay, so Piero's historical cognomen is the Unfortunate, but you know what I mean.)
