Sitting back and basking in everyone else's creativity again is fun. anonymous_sibyl wrote a Darla meme as well! Read and admire. Our Darlas are remarkably similar, though not identical, which just goes to show what a rich character she is.

Next, for Harry Potter fans: stellamaru wrote a fabulous Petunia story. You know, the Petunia and Lily relationship, and why it went sour, can be worth exploring just as much as the Snape-and-the-Marauders backstory, imo. Both were crucial for Harry, too.

Babylon 5 fans, read deborah_judges (entirely plausible ) AU for Delenn and Lennier here.

Moving on to LotR, honorh found this delightful bit on why the Fellowship isn't marriage material. Personally, I'd go for a fling on the side anyway but entirely agree about the marriage unsuitability. Enjoy.

Oh, my! I got "Secretary", too! And I haven't seen it either. I should check what the other possibilities are. From "Casablanca" to "Secretary"...wow. I think it means you and I are really twisted.

Darla. Haven't read any of this yet, but the only other character who changed more profoundly than she did over the course of both series is Wesley. Somehow it worked. From the rough sketch of her in "Welcome to the Hellmouth" to her final days on "Angel", she got more and more complicated, and I believed it.

Although in the alley scene - the Angel-turning - they shouldn't have had her all painted up like that. Estee Lauder wasn't even a twinkle in anyone's eyes. Movies and TV always do stuff like that. JossTV redeems itself, though, especially after the flashback to the original human Darla's deathbed.

It's a babblefest I've started. Must stop.

...really went for the realistic look, didn't it? At least as far as Darla was concerned. I'm still pondering on how what looked like nuns could be in Virginia at this point (Maryland, and some years later, yes, but Jamestown?) But then the Jossverse is disproportionally bursting with Catholics anyway. (Drusilla and Holtz, notably, and especially Holtz is an extremely unlikely candidate.)

I assume ff.net is being wonky. I just checked and the only story that was up was the first one.

Oh, and my quizzes say that my romance is "When Harry Met Sally" and that my vampiric archetype is the Dark Mother. Go figure.
