I had a pretty exhausting day, and one look at my email account tells me there's quite a lot to answer. So, briefly, the highlights of today's fannish existence of yours truly:
1) The musical extravaganza is finished;
andrastewhite sent her final contributions, which are divine as always, and we'll probably post the whole thing tomorrow or so. May Joss and various composers dead and living forgive us. Or not.
2) On the other hand, I'd pay to see Tom Lenk, Adam Busch and Danny Strong perform this stuff.
3) This is probably old news to everyone, but there is a report on a certain convention here, at the City of Angel website. Now, given that this convention caused, what's that delightful word again, a kerfuffle which gave me the impression it was Beatlemania, with Spike substituting for all four Beatles, I was quite surprised to read the essay which reports quite a lot of non-Spikean topics were addressed and answered. Since City of Angel is hardly a synonym for SpikeFans.Incorporated, I trust they didn't make all the other stuff up. Incidentally, my personal highlight here is what Joss said about Xander's reaction to Anya's death, and Andrew's role here. (Partly because it allows me to feel smug - I wrote something similar at the time - and partly because of recent fictional endeavours, I've got Andrew on the brain, together with Warren and Jonathan, of course.)
4)
cadesama has some intriguing thoughts about the definition of innocence by creators and fans in the Jossverse and in the Star Wars universe here. Prepared to compare Willow to Kaylee to Anakin Skywalker? Go and discuss.
And lastly:
Figures. And Pirates of the Carribean still hasn't opened here! (It will on September 2nd.)
