Today the authors of the

remix_redux ficathon were revealed, so, time to confess: I wrote:

Burial Ground (The Rambaldi Remix) , based on

kangeiko's And the cicadas sang.

When I got assigned

kangeiko for the remix, I was thrilled, both because she's a splendid writer and because we have several fandoms in common, so I knew there'd be a lot to choose from. Rather predictably, I ended up with the one about the two people depicted in this icon. It was my first Sydney pov, which was one of the reasons why I picked this story (the original has Sloane's, and I usually write Sloane pov, so it was a nice challenge); the other was because I realized that though

kangeiko's original story got jossed, err, Abram'd by canon and is thus an AU, it killed off the same two people the actual season 5 did. Which gave me an idea...

The story I received (linked a few entries earlier in this journal) was written by

leyenn, and again, I loved it. Note to self: participate in this ficathon again next year!
