If I had the skills and the time to create websites, here's what I sometimes think I'd like to do:

1) A Babylon 5 website for stories and essays about the Centauri and Narn. (My other pet B5 interest, the telepaths, have already a good website.) Granted, there isn't much material to work with yet, but every archive starts small. I'd ask fellow B5 fans to contribute essays on Londo, Vir, G'kar, and, why not, Na'toth, Cartagia... And later on maybe comparisons between those characters and their storylines, and characters from other shows which provide a good contrast or parallel. I'd then bribe some of these talented vidders to create B5 music vids as well.

2) A BTVS website devoted to the character of Buffy. No 'shipper stories of any calibre (don't care whether it's B/A, B/S, B/R, B/F, B/X, or, Joss help us, B/G). Instead, non-shippy stories either exploring Buffy herself or her (non-romantic) relationships with any other the other characters. And I think there's quite a lot to explore. Buffy and Willow post-Darth Rosenberg & resurrection, Buffy and Xander and Dawn during the summer between seasons 6 and 7, Buffy and Giles after their season 7 fall out, Buffy and Dawn at any given point, Buffy and Tara during season 6 - you get the picture.

3) A DS9 website concentrating on the Ferengi. I love and adore my shades-of-grey Cardassians, of course, but they already have plenty of net attention. Rewatching some more DS9 (which will probably lead to another post) reaffirmed my Quark, Rom and Nog love. I've got a soft spot for the Nagus and Moogie as well. My guess is there wouldn't be much demand for such a site, but who knows?

I'm actually going to start a B5 site...

2) A BTVS website devoted to the character of Buffy

I had a real wish for this last season.

If I had actual web-building skills--

I'd start a Buffy-Dawn site called Beautiful/Powerful that concentrates on their relationship and characters. No, repeat, *no* incest-fic, only explorations of their sisterly or mother/daughter dynamic. But then, you know how I am about my Summers sisters.

1) A Babylon 5 website for stories and essays about the Centauri and Narn. (My other pet B5 interest, the telepaths, have already a good website.)

Yes, although I think I'd also start an automated, centralized archive for B5 fan fiction first--but I was wondering about the telepath site, as I'm not really in the fandom and so don't know if I've already run across it on one of my occasional random searches, but would love to check it out...

Also, I just saw Chris & Christina's (http://wind.prohosting.com/candcvid/CandCvid.html) Londo vid to "Where You Want To Be" from Chess in the Character Study show at Vividcon (http://www.vividcon.com) a couple of weeks ago (I'd recommend it, but unfortunately it doesn't currently seem to be available online), and was like, cool, but hey, where are the other B5 vids? So I am all for your bribing people to make more B5 vids about characters that aren't Sheridan and Delenn (perhaps not coincidentally, other than the aforementioned Londo one the only other really good B5 vid ever I've seen is Susan/Talia, although again, I haven't gone searching).

2) A BTVS website devoted to the character of Buffy. . . [with] non-shippy stories either exploring Buffy herself or her (non-romantic) relationships with any other the other characters.

I think it's hard to find a lot of good non-shippy stories in any fandom (since one of the reasons so many people write fan fiction is primarily to 'ship), but there is a site called Azygous (http://www.obsessedmuch.net/azygous/home.html) which is devoted to single character fiction in the Buffyverse. Some of the stories still have to do with relationships, sexual and otherwise, but they were selected for single-character focus and POV rather than the relationship being the focus of the story, and I remember thinking at the time that the concept was great 'cause if nothing else it was just an interesting commentary on fan fiction in general--that is, how comparatively little of that type of fic is out there.

An automated B5 fanfic site would be great - easier to access than Alternate Universe Today, too.

The telepath site: It's here (http://www.psicorpsgermany.de/psicorpshq/d_fanfic.htm). I linked you to the fanfiction section, but they have also a timeline and background on the characters, etc.

There is a Londo vid?!? There is a Londo vid, and it's not online? You... Sebastian, you. That's torture.

Azygous sounds interesting. I'll go there immediately. Thanks!

Re #2 -

Yeah. There isn't a lot of that. I went out and wrote a "Bakery" (http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1362448) post-Chosen Fic in which Buffy starts to go out and do that personal-growth she'd been talking about. Because, after Sunnydale fell down, what does Buffy really want?

I put in some mention of the ship stuff, because it's hard to avoid, but the focus was on Buffy trying to just be Buffy. I don't think it sucks, so you may want to take a look.

Thank you!

The premise does sound promising. I'm looking forward to reading your story and will brave the curse of FFN pop-ups at once.
