And the great Deathly Hallows inspired fic keeps coming.

Summer Holidays - Hermione-centric look at everyone after the battle. I love every bit of it, but the Narcissa-Andromeda encounter is my favourite section.

Speaking of Narcissa Malfoy, née Black, who is so my favourite of that family (actually, make that families - Malfoys and Blacks both, though I also love the late Regulus): Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow is a great Narcissa pov throughout Deathly Hallows.

So, what did Dumbledore see in the Mirror of Erised? One great answer.

Have a fictional look at two epilogue-introduced characters , which I very much enjoyed.

And finally, End of the Line: great, great look at Severus Snape after you know what, with a lovely nod to Terry Prattchet.

And now, meta:

Applies to any fandom, and I'm sure you, like myself, will recognize the pattern: [livejournal.com profile] misscam wrote a great essay with the best cat metaphor ever about how dislike towards characters and pairings in onself can be the result of the overenthusiasm of their fans, not caused by the characters themselves. (Examples quoted in the comments are, among others, Spike and Rose, and I certainly remember having had to stop reading threads about either during some periods as not to lose sight of the fact I actually like them.)

Check out this excellent post on why Remus Lupin's characterisation in DH is entirely consistent with his earlier appearances.

New Whovians, if you're intrigued by THAT character in season 3 and want to check out that character's episodes in Old Who, here is a helpful guide. Ahem.

And fanfic again, Doctor Who this time:

Familiarity: the Doctor during that period between Sound of Drums and Last of the Time Lords.

Fic recs! And one of them is kind of R/Hr and the other one is Scorpius/Rose! *dies of happiness* THANK YOU.

This happens to me all the time. All the time.

You just know Ron jinxed himself with that "don't get too close" remark.*g* The first time Draco and wife come to incredibly awkward dinner, Hermione will tell him so.

Lol, he totally did. I would love to see that dinner. But as hilarious as the repercussions of this future pairing would be, I'm still laughing over the ASS ship. ;)

Thank you for all the HP links. I haven't been in this fandom for years, therefore I really appreciate it.

I'm not an active HP fan in the sense of writing and reading fanfic all the time, either, but luckily I have many active fans on my list.*g*

Well, the ASS 'ship has the better initials, but I maintain Scorpius/Rose has the better family awkardness and thus more fun. (Harry? Would at this point just shrug if his son said something about dating a Malfoy.)

You'd think he'd have learned by now. *shakes head* :-)

I have a sneaking suspicion that Rose/Scorpius is part of JKR's own "personal canon" that she's got squirrelled away in her notes. Just a feeling.

Please use a cut tag for anything relating to Deathly Hallows - even when you think it really isn't a spoiler. I'm still only part way through the book.

I deliberately phrased my summaries in an unspoilery way, and you really can't learn anything about the plot from them, but of course I can add a cut.

Thanks for the "End of the Line" rec! Aww, Snape meets my favourite Pratchett character.

(And the "Miss Enthusiastic and her cat" entry and the masterly guide are awesome, too!)

I'm sure there'll be plenty of Sandman crossovers in which Snape meets the female version of that character as well, but the Pratchett one is just perfect for Severus.

I'm totally fine with this version actually, as - totally blasphemous here - I don't like Death as she is in Sandman all that much. *ducks*

I do think my dislike for Gaiman's Death is a perfect example of [livejournal.com profile] misscam's Cat Hypothesis. Instant verification!

Speaking of Death - and I swear this will be the last time I'm swamping this entry - here is a rather crackalicious story (http://yumemiru-kikai.livejournal.com/6603.html) where she meets the Petrellis. Who are very ... Italian. Every single one of them.

ROTFLOL about the Petrelli Italian-ness and Death suspecting Desire is messing with her, but the best thing is Angela challenging Death to a chess match. Because she so would!

I wrote a Londo Mollari meets the Endless (every single one of them) fanfic once upon a time, here (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1920733/1/Presences). They really can be inserted in any universe.

What great links! I haven't read them all (yet), but the ones I have, I've loved. Summer Holidays and End of the Line were just perfect.

Thanks!
