Five years anniversary....

of my livejournal, yesterday. Insert all the usual "time flies" clichés here, because it really does. Ah, the awkwardness of first posting.

Doctor Who: You know,sometimes I love fandom. (Err, spoilers for The Sontaran Strategem linked.) I think that's the fastest new ship with a non-regular that sprang up since Jack Harkness met Real Jack Harkness, y/n? I'll support it if Ross not only survives the two-parter but delivers either Bessie or the Brig for a cameo at the end. If he brings either to the Doctor, the very least he deserves is a kiss. Unless he, like Donna, doesn't want to get papercuts, of course!.

I know. I'll be in Bamberg in August and in July I'll first be away with the Aged Parents on their 40th wedding anniversary special holiday trip, and then off to Stratford to watch Patrick Stewart and David Tennant in Hamlet, but! I could make a day or two in Munich in August depending on when you'd come, no problem. Or in June. September will be on tour all the time, for professional reasons.

I think it's been so long since the Doctor has had a boy that fandom is giddy at the prospect. And by "had" I of course mean "as a companion", but I'm not averse to other interpretations.

That icon has become popular over night.*g* And you know, technically it hasn't been that long. There was Jack in s1 and s3, and Mickey in s2, if we go by the definition of "companion" as "person who travelled with the Doctor in the TARDIS for more than one episode. But I now what you mean - someone for a full season. And yes, then the last one was Turlough in Five's era, so, decades!
