Londo/G'Kar, now with sound!

Once upon a time, more than four years ago, when my decade of B5 fannishness finally led to writing fanfic, I finally took the plunge and wrote the very first Londo/G'Kar story on the net. (At least I hadn't been able to find an earlier one, and believe me, I was looking. Thankfully, this one started a trend...) Now, iamsab has made a podcast of it:

In Vino Veritas

In which, taking off from the last scene in the s4 episode Rising Star, Londo and G'Kar get (more) drunk together, bicker, and one thing leads to another. I'm still somewhat proud of the dialogue, and iamsab does a great Centauri accent for Londo. Go, download, listen!

I'm so glad I re-read that! It still reads as exactly it would have happened, too - you have every right to be proud of that dialogue.

Hearing it read aloud might be a bit weird, but great idea nonetheless.

This is slightly off topic, but you had got me interested in this show with your old reviews and one of your stories (I think the Timov one). And so, I now bought all of the DVDs and is about half way through season one so far.

It was kind of funny, when I was watching the prequel movie In the Beginning with my family (who turn out to be mostly fans of the show too...), my aunt pointed out Sheridan as the main character and I said "no, Londo and G'Kar are." And then I joked that they end up getting married, and since she hadn't seen the show for a while, she took a minute wondering if I was serious.

Well, there are no less than three "married" jokes about Londo and G'Kar that I can recall instantly, so you weren't completely kidding.*g*

It must be odd, watching s1 for the first time with all that knowledge, though - In the Beginning is full of massive spoilers which is why it wasn't made until s4. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless...

It was SO much fun. Londo nearly killed me. It took about, oh, a thousand tries to get his accent, and i definitely slip a bunch of times, but STILL.
