New (to me, anyway, but then I'm trying to keep away from spoilers - promos, however, are another affair) promo for Heroes, volume 3:

You know, currently the most appealing aspect of this breakout-of-Arkham plot indicated is that it looks like Noah Bennet will continue to work for the Company. Which pleases me, because I want HRG to deal with the consequences of all the choices he made throughout volume 2, and rejoining the Company was just the culmination of those. What's more, one of the plot threads I enjoyed most in volume 2 was the uneasy cooperation between Bob and Mohinder as well as Bob, Matt and Nathan in one episode; the shades of grey this had. Bring on the Bob and HRG interaction with all the distrust in the world but forced to work together.

In multifandom news, best answer ever to the 'ship meme.

...I suck so much, all I can think about is that Claire is keeping her season 2 hair. I liked it better on season 1. *hides in shame* And can Claire have scenes with someone else, please?

Yes, shades of grey. bring it on. Matt! I miss you, Matt! Man, I never thought the character I'd be missing would be Matt.

*follows link, Oh, ha, that is hilarious.

I already liked Matt in s1, despite the fact only Niki and Mohinder got more shaky writing, but when he got one of the top storylines of s2, I came to really love him. (Hence fanfiction.*g*)

And oh yes, Claire needs to have scenes with someone other than her father - well, this father - and West. Though West is gone (yay!), I hope for more scenes between Claire and Elle because of all the parallels, and we really need a reunion between her and the Petrellis.

So I wonder if all of the escapees are the villains HRG thinks they are or are we going to get some shades of grey. Looks as if it adds more backstory to why he might have chosen to work for the Company in the first place.

Very happy to see Matt again. I want more Nathan and Matt interaction, more Nathan and Hiro interaction, more Nathan, Peter and Angela interaction, actually more Nathan and everybody (except Sylar) interaction *g*.

Oh, you know "more Nathan and everybody (except Sylar) interaction" is my number one wish for the next season as well. *g* Though I do have more.

The Matt segment looks like another mind duel rather than like something that really happens, wouldn't you say?

It certainly looks as if it could be and is what I shall be hoping for. Matt + mind duels = FTW.

I always liked Matt (because he was Eric Weiss! I can't not like him. And I liked his thing with the FBI), but loving him more than Peter or Nathan or, hell, Niki, comes as a surprise to me. Yay for awesome storylines. Hope they manage to do that with more characters this season. (Yes, Maya, I'm looking at you. Please be interesting. And yes, Monica, I'm looking at you too. Please show up more often on my screen.)

I really want Claire with Angela and Noah with Nathan. I mean, amongst various other combinations. Even though I told myself I would have no expectations this season. Oh, I think I'm beginning to get excited about Heroes again! *tries to resist urge to read spec*

There's actually another promo up -- one that is far more interesting in my estimation. I have it linked above the spoiler cut on my entry, but you can also see it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SO5fuF3rQY).

Out of curiosity, what makes you think that Noah will work for the Company because of the break out? I mean, he's currently in custody right now. A break out for everyone else may very well be a break out for him as well, and he certainly has no qualms about being on the run.

Actually, with regards to the hair... she's not. Some off set photos show her with a bobbed cut. So perhaps a ~*~meaningful haircut~*~ during the show?

Unless he was lying to Sandra et all at the end of Powerless, he had agreed to work for the Company again. In the name of "keeping you safe" (yes, keep telling yourself that, Noah), absolutely, but "working for" does not equal "being in custody" - he's not very efficient or useful to them in a cell, is he? If all Bob wanted from Noah was to keep him out of action, he wouldn't have bothered with the resurrection at all.

And you know, a dozen Sylar-like types break-out, I think Noah would have additional incentive to genuinenly work for the Company in order to track them down. (I also think he would not bother to bring them back but would try to kill them afterwards, company policy be damned, but that's another question.)

It's silly how happy that makes me. Well, I hope the new hair comes with progress for the character, so it's ~symbolic~. Awesome.

Well, I don't know about that. It's certainly not like they are just going to send him home or set him up in an apartment when he's not running missions for them. Keeping him in a cell and then bringing him out when they feel he's useful, and maybe claiming he's working off his debt to them, seems entirely plausible.

And you know, a dozen Sylar-like types break-out, I think Noah would have additional incentive to genuinely work for the Company in order to track them down.

True, bu I'm just thinking in terms of where he might actually be when it occurs. If he's inside the building, and his door opens... why not just walk out himself? And then track them on his own, or strike a deal once he's out so that he's on more equal footing with Bob, rather than under his thumb.

I think there's a good chance that it will. If you watch the first clip, Claire's hair is longer at first. So there is some trigger within the show itself that makes her cut her hair.
