Quickly, before heading off to the Paulskirche:
While I was busy at the Book Fair, some kind soul at scans_daily put up the second issue of Doctor Who: The Forgotten, here. (Which is great if you live on my side of the Atlantic and are thus deprived of the chance of buying it.) In which there is both a Two and a Three era flashback. The Two flashback is in black-and-white, as was the one One era flashback last issue; the Three era in colour, but not the same colour used for Ten and Martha in the present day framing narration. Instead we get slightly washed up colours reminiscent of 70s video tapes. No prices for guessing that, affection for Two, Jamie and Zoe not withstanding, the Three flashback was the one that made me ridiculously happy. I mean, the opening panel alone, with the Doctor, the Brig and Jo driving with Bessie! If some you talented icon makers - looking at you,
kathyh - can make an icon out of that, or of any later ones, it would be awesome. Also, letting the Brig say "I find your faith in this vehicle most disturbing, Doctor" has to be the best Star Wars misquote, ever. And the way Jo saves the day is just so Jo! Go, read!
