Dec. 25th, 2008 11:54 amAs every year, the Aged Parents & self walked from church to church in Bamberg on Christmas Eve (early afternoon, that is) to look at the nativity scene & manger displays, where the figures are all handcarved and the backgrounds vary from attempted Israel to deliberate alternate locations (a snowy landscape in Tyrolia, or a Franconian one). The most beautiful one, as in most years, was the one in St. Carmel, and here are some pictures as my annual Christmas pic spam and a way to wish merry christmas to everyone who celebrates, and a joyful end of the year time for those who don't:
