The Gardener: Kosh before the show and during Midnight at the Firing Line. This is Kosh at his most Vorlon, not yet connected with the younger races, and captures the chilling God-passing-Judgement attitude perfectly.
Doctor Who:
Ten Doctors, Ten Moments: I so admire authors who can a) do justice to all ten regenerations and b) capture both their distinctiveness and the essence they share. (Since unfortunately the fics (and meta posts) which extol one Doctor and/or Companion(s) and bash others are far more common, I treasure stories like this one all the more.) Here, I loved each vignette, and the love declarations to decades of a show they presented.
Harry Potter:
Rita Skeeter makes a comeback: in which the past headmasters of Hogwarts, or rather, their portraits (including Snape's), get to review Rita's newest book: Down and Dirty with Albus Dumbledore. (Aka the addendum to her earlier Dumbledore bio.) This is just outrageously funny (and also works as a spoof at fandom's shipping obsessions). The headmasterly snark is divine.
