SCC and HP recs

selenakOne of the many reasons why I adore The Sarah Connor Chronicles is the way it uses its visuals for storytelling, the rich beauty of it. So I'm surprised it's not more vidded. However, there are some great vids out there, and now a new one: aycheb made a terrific vid centered on James Ellison, and his interaction with Cromartie, Catherine Weaver and John Henry. Spoilers for both seasons.
Speaking of Catherine Weaver, have a fanfic: The mermaids, singing to each other is set early in s2, showing us her and Savannah interacting, which was one of my favourite aspects in the second season. The use of one specific fairy tale is absolutely awesome.
Harry Potter:
...does have gen, unshippy fanfiction featuring Slytherins, though they're not easy to find. *g* Sworn by Night is a terrific take on the Snape and Dumbledore relationship, set partly during Half Blood Prince, partly in the past, and also features a very believable Draco Malfoy. (HBP: the book where Draco became interesting to me at last.)
