Dec. 5th, 2003 04:22 pmFirstly, thanks everyone for the flattering comments on my musings on alien sex layers and meanings of alien/human interaction in Sci-Fi. On that note, here's a story
astrogirl2 has written, about a certain Scarran/Sebacean hybrid. Plus
bimo posted her first bit of Farscape art, featuring John Crichton. I envy people who can draw...
Secondly, I did the ultimate fangirl thing and got myself a ticket for the RotK premiere at midnight. Which means that, the Australians and Asians among you excepted, I'll probably get a bleary-eyed review of the precious out before most people on my friends list. Of course I'm just doing this for story research purposes, since I have this idea of Andrew dragging the rest of the gang to the premiere as well. It has nothing whatsoever to do with NOT BEING ABLE TO WAIT.
Thirdly, something I won't have to wait for anymore is DS9, season 6. It's here. Off I go to my occupied space station and battle-worn Defiant.

Ah, but you see ...
Date: 2003-12-05 12:50 pm (UTC)No, I don't know how I've thus far resisted jumping on a plane, flying to somewhere with a sensible release schedule and seeing it there either *g*. For that matter, the past two years I've had to wait and extra day until the 27th - but not this time. I've got the tickets for Boxing Day safely tucked away.
how unfair!
Date: 2003-12-05 12:57 pm (UTC)BTW, how come you're up and about? Isn't it night time in Australia? Or is it morning already?

Date: 2003-12-05 01:03 pm (UTC)Unfortunately there's the small matter of the airfare - but thank you *g*.

By my clock it's 8:04 on Saturday morning, so not night time anymore. Of course, I'm usually not answering e-mail this time of day. The only reason I'm in front of the computer instead of going about my usual morning routine is that I forgot it was Saturday and I'm attempting not to disturb the other occupant of the house.

Date: 2003-12-05 03:29 pm (UTC)I am deeply envious. I was planning on seeing it on either the Saturday or Sunday after the opening, but now my dearly beloved mother seems to think that the entire family is coming to lunch at our house on the Sunday. I think I'll just leave them there with the food and go and see the film!
