It's that final countdown....
Dec. 15th, 2003 04:03 pmEn route back to Munich, I stopped for a day in my hometown Bamberg. It's finally snowing outside, and I so hope that means a white Christmas. My parents have a fireplace, and in some years we just couldn't use it - it wasn't cold enough.
Tomorrow at midnight, in Munich, Return of the King! I'm a gibbering wreck already, I fear.
Other fans, being more sensible, write interesting and insightful posts. In honor of the Firefly DVDs which you lucky Americans can watch and I can't,
gwyn_r wrote a great review, here. Meanwhile,
londonkds analyses Jayne here and makes me wish he'd write something like this for each of the Firefly regulars.
Something I've been waiting for ever since I finally saw Destiny: fanfiction inspired by it.
cbrownjc put my out of my fannish misery and wrote some fabulous drabbles. The other thing I've been waiting for was Lineage-inspired Wesley fanfic.
cadesama takes a look at Wesley's childhood here.

Date: 2003-12-15 08:56 am (UTC)If I had to I'd equate Wolverine with either Gimli or Boromir, only neither really fits...
How old is your daughter?

Date: 2003-12-15 03:14 pm (UTC)Are region-free DVD players not available in Germany? I don't have the techno-geek babble to clearly state exactly what I'm talking about, but I know that I could buy here in America a DVD player that doesn't 'care' what region the DVD is coded for, or I could have my DVD player on my computer altered to bypass this restriction.
(I've had to think about this in case the BBC releases B7 on DVD only in England.)

Date: 2003-12-15 04:00 pm (UTC)You're going at midnight? Wow. I probably could here in L. A., (Mann's Chinese is going to do a midnight showing tommrow, I know), but I just know it's going to be hellishly crazy, with wall to wall fans.
I am going Wednesday morning though. I'm so pathetic about ROTK that I've already started getting teary over it. :)
P.S. Thanks for the fic shout out. *blush.* :)
Huzzah!
