Now and then, one just has to gush :)
Aug. 13th, 2010 04:43 amOn an awwwww note about them both, Patrick Stewart about David Tennant:
Here's hoping theatre (and tv, and cinema) producers listen. * ♥ them both in embarrassingly fangirlish fashion*
Also, another gem from the recent Vid Con:
Doctor Who: Take On Me: all the regenerations, all the companions. I so love vids that celebrate DW as a whole, Old and New Who alike (and manage to make the footage from so many different eras flow seamlessly into each other).

It is criminal that Patrick Stewart has never been in Doctor Who; I wish they'd invited him while Ten was still around. (Not that I would like to see how a Patrick Stewart and Matt Smith team-up would go.)

(PS as Vortigern?)

And yes, it would have been fabulous to see him interact with DT as the Doctor, no matter whom Stewart would have played.
I am impatient for the BBC to just let Big Finish start making new series audios already. There wasn't much point when Christopher Eccleston was the only new-but-retired Doctor, but after another year or two I would lay money that David Tennant would be happy to reprise the role for them. And there are all sorts of people who might be lured into the studio by the chance to work with him ...

I approve of both these ideas! DT would make a fabulous Gorlois; maybe he could come back as a ghost so as to interact with Morgana as well as Uther.

That would be even better! And he already knows the cast, so given people's usual reactions to him, I think they'd be okay with having him back. :)
