And we are all together...
Oct. 2nd, 2010 06:44 pmThis picture makes a great case in point for Ray Connolly's "John = Dad, Paul = Mum, George = rebellious teen, Ringo = adorable toddler with toy" (never mind the actual ages) characterisation of the Beatles, so I had to share it:

And then I found a hilarious vid. Now, I don't smoke, and I absolutely hated it when I was stuck in a bus with all my classmates smoking back in the day, but... well. See for yourself:
I have no idea how good or bad the "The Beatles: Rock Band" computer game is, seeing as I suck at computer games (read: haven't played any since I was 16 or so and my brother was really into them, and that was several computer generations ago), but the trailers for it are amazing. This one is my favourite. (And btw, if the rumour is true that Robert Zemeckis wants to direct a remake of Yellow Submarine, he should use the animators who did this.)
This trailer is very good as well. I love all the detail, the way the animated counterparts really resemble who they're supposed to be, the psychodelic imagery for the Revolver/Sgt. Pepper/Mystery Tour era songs... everything.

Argh, Dreamwidth doesn't like YouTube clips in comments, so here is the link:
