Dear Yuletide Writer Letter

thank you for writing a story for me! Since we share at least one fandom, I hope you'll have fun. My ramblings are more suggestions than anything else. First some general observations: as a writer, I tend to go for mostly gen with the occasional foray into slash and het, but don't let that bind you; as a reader, I'm pretty much game for anything, genre-wise. Including AUs. Though I have a few anti-kinks: character bashing, non-con sexual relationships, sex with a severe power imbalance (teacher/student, mentor/protegé) built into the relationship. I love ensembles and character-revealing interactions between more than just two people, so while I'd love for the characters I have listed to play a major role, whoever else strikes your fancy to explore is welcome to join.
1) Emily Bronte: Wuthering Heights, Heathcliff, Hareton Earnshaw. Any exploration of the Heathcliff-Hareton relationship, which, as Charlotte Bronte notes in her second edition preface, is one of the most intriguing in the book. They live with each other longer than any of the other characters and arguably know each other better; Hareton in the end manages the near-impossible balance of loving both the younger Catherine and Heathcliff. Heathcliff originally intends Hareton as his tool of revenge but as he admits towards Nelly comes to identify with him more and more. This is catnip to someone with a thing for messed up family and pseudo family relationships like myself.
2) S.W.O.R.D., Abigal Brand, Hank McCoy, Lockheed, Sydren: Adventure, character vignette - anything and all starring the S.W.O.R.D. characters would be welcome. If it contains a discussion of Scott Summers between Abigail and Hank, though, I'll love you forever. Brand is my favourite, and S.W.O.R.D gave us a bit more on her family background, complete with rogue brother; definitely fodder for fanfiction. But if you want to write a story exploring Sydren and what it feels like to be the Deanna Troi of S.W.O.R.D, or if you want to let Henry Gyrich confess his secret passion for Hank and/or Abby, I'd be just as thrilled. (I'm mostly kidding about the last one, but hey, if it's your thing, feel free.)
3.) Nowhere Boy, Mimi Smith, Julia Lennon: Actually, any fanfiction based on the film would be welcome, but my dream is an exploration of the relationship between the sisters, Mimi and Julia. Doesn't matter whether through a vignette or lenghty backstory. If you don't have the time to go through biographies for the real life precedents, that's okay; I think the film itself offers enough for you to weave a good story out of it.
