Winter Colours, and a story rec

On Leavetaking
Now, this weekend brought us the first snow this year in Bamberg, and I had to take some pictures today when on a quick walk (a long one wasn't in the cards since I'm not in the best of health right now):



St. Michael's, framed by trees. The only building you'll see in this post.


Now for some trees that were full of cherries and apples earlier this year:

Currently more prone to feature crows. Were I in Munich, I could look up appropriate Ted Hughes quotes for you.



But it's not all blue, black and white. Look here:



And then were birds again:

We had snow early around but it melted although it is still freezing cold.
