Colour me amused at the choice of cats. I can see the red cat for John (though in terms of temper, I vote calico - tortoisehell? not sure about the correct English term, but I mean the three colour one - for John!) and the black cat for Paul, but how come Ringo gets the white one? He's clearly a case of mackerel tabby. Black and white for George, okay, why not, though again, my choice would have been Siamese.
I already linked once the drawings George and Paul did of each other; now someone put up the ones Ringo and John did of each other as well, so we have all four, here. (Recognizable all, but don't give up your day jobs, lads.)
And lastly, an excerpt from a 1965 interview with Melody Maker (the journalist conducting the interview was Ray Coleman, who went on to become John's biographer later) about how they'd like to be remembered, with the answers very characteristic for all four:
PAUL: "With a smile."
JOHN:"I won't be interested in being remembered. I'll be in a mental home and Melody Maker will run articles saying, 'Now, direct from the mental home, we present John Lennon in Blind Date.' No I'd like to be remembered as the one with the twinkle in his eye."
GEORGE: "I just don't care."
RINGO: "I'd like to be remembered as Mrs. Starkey's little boy."
