"Normal", by
penknife, is a fabulous X-Men story about so many things - the question of just what you're willing to do to be able and live like the majority does, what "normal" means anyway, what kind of decision you make for your children, and not least of all Scott Summers, aka Cyclops. Count me into yet another tiny minority - the one who actually thinks Scott is more interesting than Logan, Hugh Jackman's hotness notwithstanding. (Of course, both of them are nothing when compared to Magneto as played by Ian McKellen and Xavier as played by Patrick Stewart.*g*) I really hope they're going to give him more scenes in X3, especially since X3 will obviously deal with the Dark Phoenix plotline, which has absolutely nothing to do with Wolverine.
The recent Sondheim reviews by
melymbrosia made me madly jealous because I so want to be in New York now and see both Sweeney Todd and Assassins on stage. An irreverent aside: now some musicals have caused fanfiction - Phantom of the Opera and Les Miz, in particular. Where is the Sondheim fanfic? The Sweeney/Ms Lovett het and the John Wilkes Booth/Lee Harvey Oswald slash?
In other news, in an attempt to avoid turning this journal into a constant squeeing over
theatrical_muse, I thankfully threw myself into the waiting arms of
sabine101 who had just started an update journal for her t_m activities and offered to share. So, if anyone is curious what the newest developments are, check them out here.
