Endings drawing near....
Apr. 9th, 2004 07:20 pmA busy Good Friday, mostly in a good way. Saw my aunt who is going through a horrible time and was able to cheer her up. Acted out delightful conversation between Londo and Delenn over at the journal. And then there were the Easter Wells; in the region I was born in and am currently staying with my parents for the holidays, all the villages decorate their wells (springs? – I’m not sure about the correct English word) with green and eggs, painted eggs. The greenery often, but not always forms crowns, and all the eggs hanging from it are painted in vibrant primary colours. It looks very pretty, and every village here has a different one. So that’s what we did during the afternoon.
I think I still haven’t grasped, not completely, that there won’t be any more Jossverse episodes soon. Not of any show. This is what I mourn more than the passing of Angel. The later is still sad, but five years are five years, and many stories about the characters were told. (As opposed to, say, Firefly. Grrr. Argh.) If Firefly was still on the air, or any other new show written by the ME staff, the cancellation would not feel as monumental. Undoubtedly all the writers will find other jobs; they are too talented not to. (One of these days, when Mr. Mollari allows me to have more of my own life again, I'll write an eloge to most of them.) But they were such a good team, both the BTVS and the AtS combination, and of course the Firefly one. And I think that this combination will be irrevocably lost once AtS is over. Damn.
Now; the Agent Parents had to hurry away since they had totally forgotton a birthday, which gives me at least two hours sans family, and I could go and play out the grand confrontation which Delenn has kindly arranged for Londo and G’Kar, except that I told
sabine101 I couldn’t show up before 10 pm Middle European time. To start now or wait till later? Stay tuned…
