selenakDay I of not being able to watch the latest Being Bad episode: am trying to cope via a 7 km walk around a lake. Lake pleasant, but blue. Meth blue! This does not help.
In other news, I'm currently in the north and was yesterday in Hamburg where because of Darth Real Life I had no time for even the slightest bit of tourism. (Though of course I've been in the city before.) However, I found out that there are currently 80 refugees (from Ghana and Nigeria mostly) hauled up in the church of St. Pauli (yes, at the end of the Reeperbahn) so they won't get deported back to Lampedusa. There is a banner outside saying "Embassy of Hope". At this most cynical of places - I mean, most of the German press is in Hamburg! - this is somehow both touching and, well, hopeful.
