DS9 and Babylon 5 fanfics

So here I was, enjoying the vicarious thrill of seeing other fans introduced to DS9, when, in the space of a day, buffyannotater and deborah_judge "met" Winn with vastly different reactions, though they both thought she was a good character. Only Rob hated her guts and Deborah fell in love, promptly asking for fanfic, which reminded me that I did the same thing some time ago and found that it hardly exists. Reporting this to Deborah, I was told:

Winn says: I am expecting you to write my story, my child. You know that it is in the best interests of everyone. It is not for my sake. The fandom requires it.

Naturally, I obeyed. Especially since I remembered poor old celestial_templ languishing since March. The last challenge had been "Formative Years", specifically, childhood stories. So I wrote

"Chosen"

However, thefiringline's weekly challenge also could not go unanswered, especially since I had a Londo and G'Kar idea. So I visited my other space station as well and wrote

"Services Rendered"

And then I remembered I still have to beta the new version of honorh's third chapter, and now I have to force myself to leave my space stations and adjust my mindframe to the Jossverse again.

There should be, as she is one of DS9's most memorable characters, but there isn't, and as Deborah has reminded me - it's always better to create instead of complain.*g*

That was a scarily good Kai Winn story. It has always worried me a little that I can see so exactly where she was coming from, but obviously you do too so that's OK *g*. Excellent Londo and G'Kar too, as ever. The War Prayer is our next episode to rewatch so it will be fun to watch with this in mind.
