Of ficathons and fannish commandments

hobsonphile, bless her, has announced a Rygel Ficathon. Hurry and sign up! He's the smartest character on the show (David Kemper said so!), he got to kiss John nearly as often as Aeryn did (well, MoyaJohn anyway), and he's been unjustly neglected in fanfic.
Babylon 5:
ruuger has written Five Things Which Never Happened To Londo Mollari, which makes this Londo fangirl very happy indeed. You know, if I weren't frightfully busy and bad at organizing, I'd say that it's time for a Londo Ficathon. Which brings me to _knots posting the Ten Commandments of BtVS, and asking what the Ten Commandments of Babylon 5 would be. I pondered this for a few days and came up with:
1) "Ivanova is God. (Well, obviously.) You will listen to Ivanova."
2) If someone asks you what you want, or who you are, run. Or shoot the questioner. Behead him for good measure.
3) There is a Minbari Ritual for everything. Look it up.
4) "Prophecy is just a guess that comes true. If it doesn't, it's a metaphor." (Thank you, Vir-in-Londo's-mind.) Which means: "You do have a choice." (Thanks, Real!Vir.)
5) All Love Is Unrequited, but only when you're dating within your own species. Choose among the species you've been at war with instead. (Gender elective.*g*)
6) The Corps is Mother, The Corps is Father. Trust the Corps. It knows that all telepaths look better in black leather. (This also applies for rogues, which is why Lyta wears it.)
7) If you're human, alcohol and/or stims are evil; if you're Centauri, alcohol can be a tool to fight the forces of darkness. Thou shalt always have alcohol ready, for thou dost not know when thou wilst be visited by a Centauri.
8) The Third Principle of Sentient Life is Self Sacrifice. Practice that, no matter whether you're a hero, a villain or an ambiguous character.
9) Presidents who accumulate power via emergency laws, establish organisations to check on everyone's patriotism and endulge in Orwellian euphemisms are Tools of Evil and should should be removed from office by any means necessary.
10) "That's on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know." (Thank you, Mr. Bester.).

It's a very short vid, but... well, the fact alone that someone would make a vid of this is pretty amazing, I think. :-)
