Elementary 3.07
Dec. 13th, 2014 02:07 pmIn which we learn what happens to cleaners who don't get hired by Gus in Albuquerque, because this Breaking Bad joke is unavoidable.
Ms Hudson was back on screen, but alas only for a scene. The episode in general felt like a concoction of many things. Not a bad one - I was entertained - but thematically it jumped from this to that, Joan's annoyance at Sherlock's selective involving himself in her cases to his harping on her not being made for monogamy to the dig at the FBI profiler (whom we never meet again) to the basic premise of a former police connected cleaner going freelance because criminals pay more for this service, and back and forth. With a little bit of editing, it could have been improved. Including, say, a scene between Joan and her original client - who hired her to find out what happened to her sister - instead of Joan preparing dinner for Andrew.
Again, the best part was for me the continually developing relationships between both Joan and Kitty, and Sherlock and Kitty. I don't expect Kitty to be around for more than one season (presumably once she "graduates", so to speak, she'll be off being her own P.I. elsewhere, and only return for guest appearances), but I'll miss her.

I don't think he was necessarily supposed to be RIGHT, but the show copped out of telling us what specifically this conclusion was based on. Just that he knows her. It felt like lazy writing, and not the usual standard for Joan/Sherlock conversations.
