Two Elementary recs
Sep. 1st, 2015 01:46 pmBoth set after season 3, and thus commenting on them means spoilers for the events and the finale of that season, which means:
A Lost Work (1250 words) by hophophop
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Elementary (TV)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Joan Watson, Kitty Winter
Additional Tags: indirect reference to drug use, indirect reference to unspecified trauma, Episode Tag, Implied/Referenced Suicide, imagined suicide only
Summary:
Joan and Kitty interacting in the wake of the s3 finale is very high on my wish list for s4, and maybe I'll never get it on screen, but this story is a fine addition to canon in this regard.
Addiction, Magnetism, Genius (4182 words) by bluesyturtle
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Elementary (TV)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Marcus Bell & Sherlock Holmes
Characters: Marcus Bell, Sherlock Holmes, Joan Watson, Alfredo Llamosa, Ms. Hudson (Elementary)
Additional Tags: Drug Addiction, Implied/Referenced Drug Use, Possibly Pre-Slash, Post Season 3, Timeline What Timeline, Relapse, Hurt/Comfort
Summary:
During the last two seasons, the Holmes & Bell relationship has strengthened a lot. This story goes for the subtext as subtext, which is rare in this day and age, i.e. no sex happens, which is realistic given Sherlock's post s3 finale condition and Marcus' likely reaction to same, but at the same time you can read it as a build up for later, or as a friendship hurt/comfort story, just as you like. I enjoyed it a lot!
