So Manhattan got cancelled. Which doesn't suprise me: the s2 finale very much felt like a show finale, they raced the show to get there, including time jumps, so the writing staff must have been strongly aware of the likelihood they wouldn't get a third season, and the ratings were terrible. Otoh, my problems with some of the s2 creative decisions not withstanding, this was an intriguing, well acted and often well written show, and I am glad we got at least two seasons out of it.

Ahh, I have got to watch this show. Too bad it's cancelled, but it is a relief to know there are two seasons only. Shorter series are easier to take on.

Yeah, I am disappointed (in part because I actually completely disagree that the s2 finale worked as a show finale), but not at all surprised.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I would have loved to see some of the stories continue, or characters get a good storyline again, *cough* Helen *cough*. But I can live with where we left Frank, Liza, Charlie and Abby. Paul, ditto, and what surprisingly turned into my favourite s2 storyline, Jim Meeks (and Fritz, and Norah) sort of concluded there, too.
