Dec. 7th, 2004 05:28 pmI've always that that the retelling and changing of myths through the ages is the earliest form of fanfiction. Reversely, it's always intriguing to see a fanfic author tackle a myth, and not via tackling a film or book incarnation. I just found a story tackling that other triangle of Arthurian lore, Guinevre/Morgan/Arthur, and it's very good:

I'm now in the possession of the fifth season of Babylon 5 on DVD. And yes, I couldn't resist plugging in The Fall of Centauri Prime to hear JMS' commentary. Which is good (and hey, always nice to find one's own interpretations being backed up by the show's creator), but now I'm all crushed and an emotional wreck again. Excuse me while a sob.

Really, Cordelia/Edmund is pure Padme Amidala and young Anakin.
C: As you know, I must marry a Duke or a King.
E: There are more ways than one to marry a king.

This makes for great angst on her part once she finds out that he's leading the British army against her and Dad!
