Tatiana Maslany about Orphan Black interview: in which she looks back on the show, sees P.T. Westmoreland as the perfect analogue for a current head of state (hint: mediocre man in his early 70s with his power based on lies, obsessed with himself, no regard for anything not him) and thus a good final villain, and reveals which Clone was the most fun for her to play.

Thank you for the Defenders recs in particular - though the OB rec looks good, too. I had thought about trawling the tag tonight, but most fics don't look all that interesting yet (even when the pairing might interest me).

You're welcome. One of the advantages of megafandoms - new stuff gets written relatively quickly, and chances are at least some of it will be good.

Right. But my muses seem to prefer smaller fandoms these days - even if I am currently one of two active writers and have no time to write as much as I'd like

Thank you for the Defender's Recs, both were quite good. And filled a necessary craving. I think I've become a platonic shipper of JJ and DD. I desperately want them to team up, but not romantically.

Same here, and given their respective day jobs as P.I. and lawyer, a team-up would be very easy. (One of our most popular tv procedurals was about a lawyer-and-detective duo solving crimes.)

Agreed. It would work in some respects better than the other team-ups they writers are doing. And they have powers that complement each other rather well, not to mention personalities.

Also, I think television writers do a better job with platonic relationships than romantic ones.

We used to have Nero Wolf, which was one of my favorites...lawyer in the wheel chair and detective on the streets...

I don't know why we haven't done more of it.
