Swiped from [livejournal.com profile] harriet_spy: Stories I wrote this year, not counting drabbles very short ficlets.

Babylon 5: 12, not counting a crossover (yikes). ("First Encounters", "In Vino Veritas", "Family Business", "Confessions of a Biographer", "White Lies", "Lost in Translation", "Options", "End of the Affair", "Negotiations", "In the Pale Moonlight", "Diplomatic Relations", "Survivors".)

DS9: 7 (not counting a crossover) ( "Cold Heaven", "Five Things Which Never Happened Between Kira And Dukat", "Quark's Day", "Five Things Which Never Happened Between Garak And Bashir", "Chosen", "Faith Manages", "Two of Us")

BtVS: 1 ("City Girls")

AtS: 1 (not counting a crossover) ("Last One Before Closing")

1602: 1 ("Days After")

Farscape: 1 ("Dealing")

Crossovers: 6. "Ferry Tales" (Alias/X-Men), "Ghost in the Machine" (Star Wars/Farscape), "Crossroads" (Star Wars/ST: TNG), "The One Who Got Away" (ST: DS9/ Farscape), "Ouroborous" (AtS/Sandman), "Presences" (Babylon 5/Sandman).

Conclusion: I was really into sci-fi and crossovers this year. Also into giving stories from one fandom the title of an episode from another fandom.

My favorite story this year (of my own): "Quark's Day". And I shall be eternally grateful to [livejournal.com profile] altariel1 for suggesting the idea.

My best story this year: Either "Ouroborous" or "Five Things Which Never Happened Between Kira And Dukat". Can't decide. I'm quite proud of the later because this pairing (both in the sexual and in the non-sexual sense) is tricky if one aims to keep both Kira and Dukat in character, and I believe I did. The former, otoh, is a crossover which succeeded with fans from both Angel and Sandman, and as opposed to most of my short stories has an actual plot. See me bask in writerly pride.*g*

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Well, I got zilch reviews at FFN for both "Cold Heaven" and "Ghost in the Machine", but I did get quite a lot of reviews when orignally posting them on lj, so they don't feel underappreciated to me.

Most fun story: "Confessions of a Biographer"

Most sexy story: I don't do sexy very often, but I suppose... "End of the Affair".

Story with single sexiest moment: "Diplomatic Relations". "I always thought you liked the position."

Most unintentionally "telling" story: "Cold Heaven".

Most difficult story to write: "Dealing". Bespite fondness for both Crais and Rygel, I had never written either before. It scared me.

Feel free to disagree loudly with any of the classifications, and tell me your own.*g*

In other news: to celebrate my newfound Battlestar Galactica enthusiasm, [livejournal.com profile] kathyh made me this beautiful icon.

Quark's Day was terrific. I'm very grateful that the idea sparked. And I'm rewatching B5, so the reciprocal story may well start taking shape at some point...

Your DS9 stories have been wonderful, but I have to say that my favorite story of yours this year is Lost in Translation (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1920799/1/). Just seeing Londo's cheery certainty be dealt such a horrific blow- I can't put my finger on why that affected me so much.

That would have been my other choice, but the reason I picked Quark's Day would be that I had a go at the entire ensemble there, from Quark's perspective, which was a bigger challenge from a writing perspective.

Hi, I was just on a site reliving my youth with Mighty Ducks and discovered MD slash....they've slashed everything else why not some wholesome disney ^^, anyways it said that your story, Ice Cream, won Best Romance, and as I'm a sucker for stories with awards I was wondering if you could give me the link to the story, since for some reason fanfiction.net keeps screwing up. Thanks

Err, I never wrote a Mighty Ducks story, and I never wrote a story titled "Ice Dream", so you must be confusing me with someone else.

dear Lord, I love "Ouroboros," but "City Girls" is the reason I got interested in Buffyverse fic. plus it speaks to my Buffy-the-character love, and ah, Rome. I just got Roman Holiday as an early Christmas gift, and will have to look at all the scenes thinking about Buffy & Dawn.

Awww. Thank you. It was joy, writing that story, and I do plan another one on Buffy post-show. Methinks Dawn and Andrew are going to persuade her to go after the evil Santa Claus Anya mentioned in the Christmas flashback, originally as a lark to distract her from the news about Spike & Angel, and then it's going to get serious.

But I have no idea when I'll find the time to write this. Damn real life!
