Things She Wrote Today

harriet_spy: Stories I wrote this year, not counting drabbles very short ficlets.
Babylon 5: 12, not counting a crossover (yikes). ("First Encounters", "In Vino Veritas", "Family Business", "Confessions of a Biographer", "White Lies", "Lost in Translation", "Options", "End of the Affair", "Negotiations", "In the Pale Moonlight", "Diplomatic Relations", "Survivors".)
DS9: 7 (not counting a crossover) ( "Cold Heaven", "Five Things Which Never Happened Between Kira And Dukat", "Quark's Day", "Five Things Which Never Happened Between Garak And Bashir", "Chosen", "Faith Manages", "Two of Us")
BtVS: 1 ("City Girls")
AtS: 1 (not counting a crossover) ("Last One Before Closing")
1602: 1 ("Days After")
Farscape: 1 ("Dealing")
Crossovers: 6. "Ferry Tales" (Alias/X-Men), "Ghost in the Machine" (Star Wars/Farscape), "Crossroads" (Star Wars/ST: TNG), "The One Who Got Away" (ST: DS9/ Farscape), "Ouroborous" (AtS/Sandman), "Presences" (Babylon 5/Sandman).
Conclusion: I was really into sci-fi and crossovers this year. Also into giving stories from one fandom the title of an episode from another fandom.
My favorite story this year (of my own): "Quark's Day". And I shall be eternally grateful to
altariel1 for suggesting the idea.
My best story this year: Either "Ouroborous" or "Five Things Which Never Happened Between Kira And Dukat". Can't decide. I'm quite proud of the later because this pairing (both in the sexual and in the non-sexual sense) is tricky if one aims to keep both Kira and Dukat in character, and I believe I did. The former, otoh, is a crossover which succeeded with fans from both Angel and Sandman, and as opposed to most of my short stories has an actual plot. See me bask in writerly pride.*g*
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Well, I got zilch reviews at FFN for both "Cold Heaven" and "Ghost in the Machine", but I did get quite a lot of reviews when orignally posting them on lj, so they don't feel underappreciated to me.
Most fun story: "Confessions of a Biographer"
Most sexy story: I don't do sexy very often, but I suppose... "End of the Affair".
Story with single sexiest moment: "Diplomatic Relations". "I always thought you liked the position."
Most unintentionally "telling" story: "Cold Heaven".
Most difficult story to write: "Dealing". Bespite fondness for both Crais and Rygel, I had never written either before. It scared me.
Feel free to disagree loudly with any of the classifications, and tell me your own.*g*
In other news: to celebrate my newfound Battlestar Galactica enthusiasm,
kathyh made me this beautiful icon.
